DANIEL KWAKYE NOMAH, MD, MSc., PhD
Strategy Director
I am a Clinical Epidemiologist and Research at the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute, Barcelona and the Center for Epidemiological Studies on HIV/AIDS and STIs in Catalonia, Spain (CEEISCAT). I am also a co-founding executive of DoctorsAct Ghana and consult for the World Health Organization (WHO) on different infectious diseases projects.
Working for many years in Global Health, I see my field irrelevant if it fails to address the many inequalities in health. Children and more especially, those with disabilities are one of the groups of people who face immerse exclusion and discrimination. Having attended to any adults with disabilities through clinical practice, I understand how even more cruel it can be for a child to have such an experience. I hope you will join me and my colleagues in advocating for children with disabilities in Africa.
